exhaust ?????

I'm going to install mac headers and ory pipe, and i'm going to keep my stock set for future emission change (none now). I'm looking for a good sounding exhaust (the dual sound).

Honestly (and I think most will agree), the mustangs sound good with a flowmaster or other good exhaust. I know I can' t duplicate that sound with a chevy, but at least I can get close to sounding like an old 67 camaro.

Like i was saying I want to be able to go back to emission legal easy, so true dual is not what i want to do.

I was thinking taking the 80 series flowmaster out and spliting it from the 2.75" into dual 40 series flowmasters (i'm just for the sound not flow), there should be enough room for two 40 series flowmasters. I have the sports appearance package so that should hide the mufflers alittle.

Let me know what you guys think.

I personally don't like the sound of Mustangs because I hear at least 3 Slowmaster stangs a day. Stay true to the bowtie and get a nice catback that lets your car sound distinguishable from all the stangs out there. If I were you I'd get a GMMG catback

Re: exhaust ?????

I went with a hooker cat back system. It was $250 something out the door at advance auto. I also have mac headers with an off road pipe and everyone I know says its the best sounding car they've heard. It is very mellow at idle and driving around but when you get into it it is just plain "Bad ***"! This system comes with chrome dual/dual outlets. Mine stuck out a bit far so I just cut 1 1/2" off of each tail pipe and it looks just right (to me). During research I found quite a few people claiming a loss of horsepower with the flowmaster setup for our cars. I can't verify that, but it was claimed.

If you're getting headers and an ORY then a hooker catback would sound spectacular. On stock equipment they sound very mellow, but with no cats and LTs they're sound impeccable. I highly recommend them. The price is good too.
