Good luck with the new engine. I think you were just a victim of a faulty engine. Couldn't handle the power from the heads and cam.

Here is some info:
Stroker Kits (not LS1, Jeep, basically the same idea, good info)
Motor Pulling (might help)

Pulling an LS1 will be a little bit harder because the engine is under the dash. All you really need to do is remove the radiator, fans, all that so you have enough room to move the engine forward. Remove all wires to the engine. Remove anything to make the engine easier to get out, and the new one in. Unbolt from mount, y-pipe, and tranny and you should be good to go. Definitely need an engine crane thing.

Good luck man!
thanks for the guides man

and yes he has an engine hoist

I'm not sure where, but I can find it again. The Lunati 382 stroker kit for the LS1 cost about $3500. I think this is damn near the only stroker kit for the LS1. there is a 383 by the same company though. With a mild port on the heads and a mild cam, it said this kit made over 528hp on pump gas!!!

Found it, F-Body Motorsports, cheapest kit I've seen. Others were around four grand for the same exact kit.

to everyone

We did do the install and i am certain that everything was done correctly.

Henry's car was brought to us and he supplied all the parts. The car was here for 2 weeks being that he couldn't get everything on time. We told him just leave the car and i will get it done even though we had a fully booked schedule for the following week,so that he did not have to wait another 4 weeks for an appointment. We are always glad to try and help with situations,as in this one we are having now.

I can't see how anyone that is remotely intelligent and in the high performance market and modding cars can say IF IT HAPPENED IN 60 MILES THEN IT IS DEFINETLY SPEED INC.s FAULT. We have no control after the car leaves here to say how it is driven, especially a stick shift car.

The car was dynoed here and made good power, had no knock, and we did 2 oil changes 1 after the install and 1 after the dyno and everything looked fine.

The wiring comment...........I wish everyone could see his wiring job. There is a hundred wires going into the fuse box and about the same throughout the rest of the car. The car is a fire waiting to happen, the extinguisher mounted inside is a very good idea. It is possible when we took the shifter out and repaired it for FREE a wire might have came disconnected, since the wiring is not done properly.

He brought the car back to us and we did look at it and yes it has a lower end knock. I agree that it is does suck, but that is unfortunately part of the risk of modding a car. The car could have had damage from previously using nitrous and with the added power/rpm of the H/C that it just couldn't handle the extra stress.
