after me car has been driven and is placed in park I get a really funny inconsistent idle the SES light came on stayed on for a day and a half then went right off I didn't find the problem when it was on but it could have been accruing

anyway the problem when I put it in park the engine surges it goes from running slow to fast for maybe a minute or two then becomes normal it's really noticeable with my open cutout


is this normal this is my first f-body well first V8 for that matter

 

I'd say you need to adjust the distributor cap. But you don't have one. Give us some more details on the car.

Could be the "Old" O2 sensor going out. Bring it to the dealer and get the service guy to plug into the port and tell you whats up.

 

it a 98 z28 A4 with 81,000 miles mabe all the Z's idle ruff hell i'm used to my old eclipse but the lights of so i don't know as for mods its got cutout flowmaster muffler and the RS body kit
