Electrical problem. Any help

Well during the winter every once in a while when I would start the car every gauge in the panel would go all the way up then slowly go back down to zero then go normal, and my trip odometer would reset. Well I thought it was just maybe a little water in a wire and it was freezing in the winter, well now its done it every day for the last 4 days and its pi$$ing me off. So if anyone maybe has had this problem or knows what it could be, please share

Sounds like your battery is on its way out. Weird things tend to happen with the battery gets low on voltage. You can take it to Autozone and have it load tested for free. If it is bad, they sell the Optima Redtop Batteries too.

There is a TSB out for this problem it is very common on the 99s. They started out changing out the IPs but then found out that it was a voltage problem. But I can't remember the details.

It sounds like the battery to me as well. My gauges got kinda flukey when my POS Delco battery was on its way out.

Yep, it is probably the guage cluster. There was a big problem with them in '99. A lot of the 30th T/A owner's over at my site have reported the problem, and there is a fix. They swap out clusters. I've seen it happen once or twice in my car. Doesn't hurt nothing.
