EGR with LS6?

I have heard different things when swapping to an LS6 intake manifold about the EGR. I guess some don't have an EGR hookup? What I want to know is if I should get race headers or headers that have the EGR hookups? I'm planning on switching to the LS6 intake soon after and I just want to know what would be the best thing. I don't have to worry about any emissions tests. If i do decide to get rid of the EGR, cats and AIR would this cause the engine to run differently? What would I need (if anything) if I was to get rid of all that stuff? Thanks for the help.

removing the EGR and AIR will have no affect on the running condition of the car. only thing it will do is trigger the SES light.

if you don't have to mess with emissions...just get the headers without the provisions...there is really no point.

but you'll have to block the EGR hole off on the intake untill you get the LS6 intake. a 1 3/8" block plug from a parts store will work fine.

Sounds good, I guess I'll just go with the race headers. Thanks
