sorry im kinda a noob but i was wondering what egr is. i here of people talk how 98-00 have it and 01/02's do not. what is it? what is the piont? do i have to get headers with an egr and same with intake manifold if my car came stock with it?

i have no clue what air is, maybe o2 sims or something could someone shed some light on both these topics

That should pretty much answer your questions. If your car came stock with EGR, you can block it off and get headers without EGR and AIR hookups like I did and pull the EGR and AIR. Nothing bad will happen. Some people think that EGR is necessary unless you have a came with more overlap than stock but it doesnt really do anything to pull the EGR with your stock cam.

O2 sims have nothing to do with AIR. AIR is your secondary air injection system. Basically the air pump pulls air from your intake and pumps it into your cats to heat them up and get them working to full potential faster ie. nothing important unless you still have cats.
