Ebay Auction LS6 Intake ??

Found a decently priced LS6 intake on ebay. The guy says it was O.E on his 02' C5 Coupe?

is it true that 2001+ LS1's came with LS6 Intake Manifold's?

I just don't want to bid and purchase the same thing I already have.

Thanks!

not neccessarily...

ask for a picture of the bottom of the intake...the LS6 intake is flat...the ls1 intake has some contour to it.

you could get an 01 or 02 corvette with the ls1 intake

And there are people on ebay that are just plain crooks. There was a guy on the boards ~ 6 months ago asking about an intake he bought off ebay as an LS6 intake. The seller said "off an 02 z28" so the guy figured it must have been an LS6. Wrong, he got an LS1 intake. When he emailed the seller he was told that it had never been advertized as an LS6 intake, just as an intake off an 02 Z28.

exactly why I started this thread. I don't want to be a victim. Take a look for yourself though...http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...MakeTrack=true

Also, I just noticed the guy keeps adding pictures. One of which includes the serial code.

that was me. the guy sold 5 "ls6" intakes off his 2002 ss. he didnt mention he had 5 at first otherwise it would have raised the red flag, his defense was "i never said it was a ls6 intake but just a intake on a 2002 camaro and through the years i had to put 5 of them on it" but he advertised 15rwhp gain like a ls1-ls6 jump, well, i can go on and on but i did get my money back but it took some time and threats basically

Nice. good for you man. It hurts once you realized you've been cheated.

This guy so far seems failry up front. There is a picture of the #12573572 on (supposedly) his intake manifold. I asked for a picture of the bottom for reassurance. We'll see. there's still just over a day left on the auction. Thanks a lot guys for your posts so far.

as long a dealer can tell you for sure with that number, in my case he added a pic of the number but it was obsolete and not even the dealers could cross reference it. i would still hold out for a pic of the bottom that way if you do buy it, he cant argue the fact.

It's got a day left, it probably won't stay that low.
