Actually the stall is rated @ 98% effeciency (sp), I believe it is more the gears and increased rolling mass of the tires and rims.

People should not be hung up on dyno numbers, the bottom line is how does the vehicle drive?, and is it fun to drive?

I remember once on a dyno that at HaddadMotorsports here in L.A a stock 01-02 WS6 6speed pulled 331rwhp and i was shocked. The numbers can be all over the place and just think of it this way as said above if the car runs good and mechanically its fine you have nothing to worry about. All i wanna do with mine is, exhuast cut out, intake, short shifter and tune. With all those on my new LS1 6speed soon to be i should be atleast 305rwhp. Either way you have a great car and im sure its plenty fast so dont worry about the low numbers because there can be many factors as to why you got those numbers, meaning weather or what type of dyno was used.

how much horespower is lost through the drivetrain on a stock 4th gen camaro. i was wondering because i have heard it was around 14% but if people are pulling 305 at the wheels stock, it has to be next too nothing.

My understanding is M6= 15%, A4= 20%

02 SS, Cold air, KN filter, Hooker long tube headers, super tune.

265 Rear wheel HP.

What's wrong? Mustang dyno used.

Nothing, "Mustang" dyno's take into consideration the wind drag (driving conditions) on the vehicle, and add resistance to the rear drum that your vehicle is spinning on, a "Dyno Jet", has no resistance to the drum, therefore higher HP numbers.

Is your vehicle fun to drive?, is it fast?, that's all that counts. I have driven in some high horsepower vehicles, that when idleing sound like half full trash cans shaking, and very uncomfortable to be in.

You could always try what i did. Take the MAF out and clean it. I just sprayed it down with some CRC MAF cleaner. Let it dry out and put it back it. Really seemed to wake it up and my part-throttle bog is gone. If i still have this car next year (it's for sale), i'll put it back on the dyno and see what it does.

But yeah, Mustang dynos do report lower than a Dyno Jet would.

That seems low even for a Mustang. Definitely clean the MAF. What is a "Super Tune"? Try putting the stock tune back and see what happens.

Mustang dyno

Thanks fella's. Even though dyno'd on a Mustang at 265 rwhp it turns under 13's in quarter so I am ok. Will look into that MAF issue.

Gas here in Nebraska at $2.09 gallon. A tear shed for OPEC......
