The trans is junked, time for a rebuild.

Also, make sure it has the right amount of fluid first and its not just 'low'. Im sure they have checked that but just make sure they did.

Ok so i just got back from picking up the car and here's what condition i'm dealing with, i'll make a little timeline.

- Picked up car from tuner at around 7:30pm (temp outside 77)

- Drove off at 8:00, car idles fine, rev's fine and shifts normal, engine temp is about 150 at this point, oil pressure 77psi.

- We arrive at the gas station, car hesitates a little at idle while slowing down in gear but does not stall.

- We get on the highway, engine temp is 182, oil pressure 75psi and everything stays this way for 1 hour at 75mph and 2000RPM.

- 9:00 we stop at the rest area, check oil and transmission fluid which smells normal and is almost cool to the touch.

- Back on the highway my uncle calls me and tells me to gun it to see how the transmission reacts, at 60mph i floored it and it downshifted taking off like a rocket all the way to 6500RPM

- I take my exit 15 minutes later and i stop at the stoplight, engine temp is 185 and oil pressure is 60-65psi.

- I put the tranny in 1, and gradually took it all the way up to it to 5000RPM and then i floored it and the RPM's shot to about 6600RPM where it bounced off the revlimiter and i shifted into 2nd.

Now here's what i think is going on, (please correct me if i'm wrong) on dyno day it was almost 90 outside, the tuners were driving my car around for almost 1 hour doing some last minute tunes before the dyno run. As soon as they arrived the car went on the dyno without a chance to really cool down. To me this sounds like the transmission was having some heat issues which caused it to pretty much run out of breath in the higher RPM range. Well this is all i have for now, please chime in i'm open for suggestions. I won't be here this weekend but, sometime next week i will be changing all my fluids and relocating my aftermarket tranny cooler. As of now it's mounted in front of the factory one and i don't think it's very efficient this way. Sorry for the long post!

That's not going to make a difference for low dyno numbers. Everything is SAE Corrected anyway.

Just a thought here but did they have abuse mode turned off during the dyno run? I know when I done my gear swap in my 2000 M6 I ran the car through all the gears with the rear tires off the ground and it threw an ABS light and the check engine light. During that it put it in to abuse mode. I have EFI Live and if I remember right during abuse mode it has a max RPM in the 55-5800 range.

Well it's been doing fine lately, i can take it up to redline with no problem. My limiter is set at 6600 and shift RPM is 6400. If i have some time this weekend i'll shoot a couple of videos.

Sounds like operator error (on their part) and not your car. Can you go to a different dyno to see if the problem exists there?

Yep, i'm starting to think that they found out what the problem was AFTER the dyno run and never told me. I still got alot of work to do before i do another dyno, gears, poly motor mounts and other misc. things.
