Question dyno!!

i just got my 2000 SS dynoed...
im rated at 305 hp and 312 torque. i have a cut-out, corsa exhaust, and an intake lid. they said that it was lower cause i still have my cats on... does this make sense... are these average numbers for a 2000 SS with those three mods? the last thing, on average how much HP does the RAM AIR induction give u when on the highway?
thanks for all help

I take it your from SA also? Those numbers sound about right. It really depends on the car. You'll pick up a few more horses with gutted cats, but if you're going to do something like that you might as well get longtubes.

Is your car an A4 or M6? Before the headers my car dynoed 311 hp and 328 tq, so your numbers are pretty close to the same. If it is an A4, then you loose more power to the wheels than a stick does.

It is an m6. i think he also said that is about right because every yr the ls1 usally goes up to 10 more hp and also the 01-02 have the ls6 intake.
thanks for the help

I am quite sure that the 01 and 02 don't have the ls6 intake.... the did make a few mods on the 0102's but that was not one of them....

Then you would be wrong.. heheh...

2001-2002 get the LS6 intake, plus a few other goodies.. Cam is different and commonly called the "truck" cam.. we get more lower end power...

When I got mine, I went on a quest to find out what all I had..

My dyno numbers are pretty consistant. Bone Stock on each.
Dyno #1 at 3000 miles at a Lingenfelter authorized shop in Dallas. Very Hot. Lift type Dynojet dyno (248 I think) 307/328

Second Dyno at a houston shop. Bone Stock. 87 degree intake temp. In ground (228 model) Dynojet. 6000 miles
305/327..

No complaints.. bone stock to the paper filter.. Only one oil change at about 4250 miles with Mobil 1.

For the record, the 01 and 02s got the LS6 manifold. Dispute it all you want.

Take dyno numbers with a grain of salt. I only dynoed 291 in my car and I was hitting 109 MPH traps BONE stock.
