For LS1's i used to think i liked the SLP Loudmouth best but ive realized i wouldnt want something annoyingly loud. I think i would want something really smooth and deep, so ive been listening to samples of each catback and i think the Magnaflow would accomplish the smooth and deep.

How well does the magnaflow flow? Does it free up as much hp as the loudmouth or another good one?

 

Horsepower wise, a catback is a catback is a catback. Meaning they produce generally the same gains.

the Magna flow sounds great but was too quiet for my tastes, so I installed a cutout. I've heard the Magnaflow gives good gains in HP, but my car came with the Magnaflow already and I've never had her on a dyno.

 

from what ive read and hear it does pretty damn good. it does flow well. alot of people recommend it. but the loudmouth is a kick a$$ exhaust system though. but if you have a muscle car why would you want it to be quiet? i wanted my car loud but when i did the hooker longtubes with the off road y to my loudmouth it was what everybody said, LOUD but it wasnt the good deep mellow loud. it was too raspy.

 

it flows very well

directly inside the exhaust inlet on the muffler, there is a baffle that directs 2/3rds of the exhaust out the passenger side tail pipe, without ANY muffling. the other 1/3rd goes through the muffler and out the driver side pipe.

use you imagination...it flows VERY well
