only difference is the exhaust and cold air intake (hood scoop)

otherwise engine and tranny are exactly the same

edit:

oh, you mean z28 vs z28

exactly the same

i was thinking SS vs z28

Nope, there wasn't a 35th Anniversary Z28, so to speak.
All Camaros in 2002 had the 35th Dash Plaque (Crummy plastic emblem ). The anniversary cars were all SS cars, and the package was strickly appearance since it consisted of the paint job, wheels, seats, anodized calipers, trophy mat, and stripes.

Well, how much hp would that account for?

well the fugly wagon wheels add about 4-5hp

the stripes add 15hp

the dash emblem adds at leaset 3hp

the seats and trophy mat add 16hp

i dunno about the calipers, didn't realize they were any different ...
and as for "special" paint, my buddy's 35th LE SS car has two hand prints on the spoiler from where some noob touched it before it was painted, and now the paint is bubbling up in the exact shape of two hands -- otherwise the rest of the car got the special orange peel coating that makes it look like a giant florida orange.

so his paint job adds a dyno proven 14hp

She pisses me the $%&^ off! She never believes anything I say and she always ends up being wrong. But then, when shes wrong, she won't let me talk. She gets all pist off and stuff cause I'm right and I can't even tell her why she's wrong.

Sounds like she may be a little confused. There was an option for the Blackwing lid(10hp) only available on SS cars I think. Also the exhaust options(center mount or dual dual) another 10 hp.

Re: Does the 35th anniversary z28 have 35 more hp than the regular z?

SS's had an optional $1000 exhaust which on paper brought the HP up to 345hp

however, considering stock z28's dyno around 290 - 300rwhp, the stock z28 hp numbers of 305hp are obviously low.

but the difference between a 35th car and a normal car is zero.

On paper, yes, the 35th Anniversary Edition is rated 345, vs. 310 for the Z28. In reality, that's .

In the end, you're both right.

Well 2002 Camaros seem to be consistantly faster than pre2000 models. 01-02 seemd to hit really low 13s and pre 2000 seem to be stuck in the mid 13s

2001 & 2002 Did get the LS6 intake, but a smaller Cam...
