ditch my borla?
ive got the borla adjustable exhaust, it was on the car when i bought it, im not a fan of it or the tips, esp the tips. i was think in of sellin it and gettin something else, anyone have a suggestion, or im just gonna get new tips and a cutout, thanks
Re: ditch my borla?
well, borla exhausts are just cutouts basically... you could replace the tips tho.
summit racing has some very affordable tips on their website, and Thunderracing .com has megs tips, which don't look too bad either.
Corsa tips look the best overall on these cars.
I'd take those borla tips though if you don't want them.

Dont hack up your Borla just to replace the tips. Sell it. Its a highly desriable catback that many people would be willing to pay you a good amount for. Removing the tips would kill its value. The tips sell for something like $100 a set. Do a search in the for sale section to see how much the catbacks typically go for.
Also your borla alaredy has a cutout built in.... unless you have just the rear section. They do make a non adjustable catback. Which do you have?
You could get enough money selling that Borla to fully pay for a brand new exhaust system. I'd reccomend you do that and maybe swap to a Magnaflow, Hooker, Flowmaster or whatever tickles your fancy.

Re: ditch my borla?
Used Borla? I wouldn't pay more than $300-$400 for it. Remember, you'll NEVER get back what you put into it.... Unless you polish a gold brick....
IMO, I like it but I am also thinking about upgrading to the GMMG in the future....The Borla's too darned loud w/ the headers, ESPECIALLY at night!
Bout' time to install a cut out, in place of the adjuster plate...

yeah i just dont like the way they look on the camaros, on the trans am they look good, but i think camaros dont need dual tips like that, after looking at the bassani i dont think i like it very much, nice system though
Re: ditch my borla?
If you can get 300-400 for a used Borla, consider using the proceeds for a Magnaflow. I got mine for 330 shipped. Pics:
