dimpled rotors? Any draw backs?

I'd like to buy some cross drilled rotors but i dont want them to crack under hard braking.
So im considering dimpled so it kinda looks like crossdrilled...
From a performance stand point are there draw backs to dimples?

If you're not going to do cross-drilled rotors, I'd go slotted. Like the dimples, they allow the gasses to escape, but do it more efficiently IMO. Plus, they look better than dimpled (fake cross-drilled) rotors.

modern brake pads dont emit gasses.

I know a fair amount about brakes.
I want crossdrilled for the looks.

There doesnt seem to be any info on dimpled rotors though.
