Differences between

Hi im looking at getting a 1999 Trans AM, or a 2000 Camaro SS. My friend told me tonight that in 2000 they put a new head on ls1, and he told me some other stuff. anyway i was just wondering if someone would tell me what the differences are between the 99 and 2000 ls1.

A 2001-2002 is your best bet, when they used the 241 heads and 28# injectors along with the LS6 intake.

Re: Differences between

The engines are the same, the real difference is in the looks of the cars(obviously) and the T\A has better seats.

Re: Differences between

Even basic bolt-ons will render the differnces betwen those two years negligible. Get whichever one is in better condition...

Re: Differences between

i read somewhere here recently that there was a difference in the oil passages in the block as well as a change in the heads. the 98-99 block has less volume than the 00-02 blocks do.
