Dielectric Compound

I ordered a set of spark plugs and wires. I was all ready to do the swap looked at every how-to I could find. But in the box of my Taylor Thundervolts is something called Dielectric compound. Could some one tell me what it is for because nothing I have looked at said anything about it.

Thanks
Adam

You can put it on electrical connections to prevent corrosion and make a better connection but it isn't mandatory.

Just don't get it on the connection in a mass amount. Dielectric grease does not conduct electricity, it only seals an area where high voltage takes place to prevent corrosion, while not actually providing a big resistance.
