Did they make 4th gen ls1's without t-tops ?

Hi there, I'm planning on getting a new second hand car. Had enough t-top problems with the 3rd gen. I'd like the latest I can get with a steel roof (no more leaks EVER). Can I get this with LS1 or do I have to go LT1 with that damm optispark ?
Thanks.

I wouldn't call them rare but most people (or dealerships) do opt for t-tops.

My 2000 Formula is a hardtop. It was pretty hard to find.

They sure do, here is a photo of my old '98 Z28 hardtop, which also did not have power windows, locks, cruise, hatch release, foglights or much else besides an LS1/6 speed

But, basically all LS1 T/A's have T-tops. There were supposedly 2 hardtops made in '98, and I have seen photos of one of them.

He meant two Trans Am hard tops. T/A's started coming standard with leather and t-tops. That's one reason I bought a Formula, I like cloth.

From what I've heard 4-gen T-Tops are designed a lot better then 3rd-gen ones. Never had a problem with my 95 or 98.

Unhappy

I didn't want T's, but had to get them anyway, due to the fact that is all I could find. I did find a Formula ,without T's, but it didn't have TC or keyless. BTY I was told that T's were part of the Formula package in 2002 so ordering was out. My luck, just last month I found a 2000 Formula for sale not to far from me without them. Oh well.
