Denali or GTO
Denali or GTO
With a new baby on the way, I already sort of know the answer. A buddy of mine has a relative who works for a major dealer. His mom would be willing to let me use her employee purchase this year. So I could either get one of the above. I will probably have to get the Denali, but one can fantasize. LS1, dual exhaust, IRS and only 3600lbs + mods equals a car capable of 12s. I will have to come up with a compelling arguement for the wife.
Is this your first kid? If so you could still get the GTO. Its supposed to have plenty of room in the back for 2 adults, so a small kid ought to fit no problem. You can also argue that the GTO will be better on gas than the denali.
First kid. Wife wants a "big" safe car. Doesn't like the two door actioin either. If Cutter had a Cadillac dealership, I would get a CTSI V series. Then I would have four doors and a LS6!
first off your living in Hawaii so why would you need (or want) a SUV, unless you have a large boat to pull.
I rember when I was there 10 years ago, I would definately own a sports car.

I think you may be able to use the dealer purchase deal at any gm dealership, not just the one she works at. May want to look into that. An LS-6 in a caddy sounds bad *** to me.
Maybe try to convice wife on grand prix, not v8, but if supercharged can still have a lot of fun with it.

Don't blame your wife for wanting a big tank for the kid.. although the safety is at other people's expense...
You can also argue the Denali in everyday driving will be unsafer because it takes longer to brake and accelerate, can't turn as well, bigger and higher center of gravity means if you do lose it in a low traction situation, its going to be alot harder to catch.
Might be annoying trying to deal with a baby seat in a car with two seats..
There has to be a Cadillac somewhere around you... The CTSv would be awesome.
