Theres not really any performance gain, it does clean up the engine compartment though

I'd leave it, makes it sell easier to someone if they need to pass emissions, also you'll get an SES light. I wish I could put mine back in but the headers don't have the EGR fittings.

Only if you're switching to an LS6 intake. Otherwise, you can try the !EGR mod if you're looking for a 0.1 hp gain.

yeah, you will have to have egr tuned out of the pcm. my headers didnt match up so i had to remove the egr/air. this was after i had already bought the sims, but still needed the tune. might take the sims off and resell.

The EGR is there for a reason. Keep it.

well yeah...it's there to keep the emissions down.... who cares about that?

if you wanna clean up the engine bay, i say remove it. the SES won't have any affect on the running of the car, it's like the rear o2 sensors...and idiot light.

removing that tube in the intake track "could" have and affect on performance...maybe 1hp...possibly more on top end with alot of air flowing.

but if you're worried, just pull the tube out and cut off some of the part taht protrudes into the intake...simple, effective and no drawbacks.
