Dealer Services (Engine Cleaning)
Dealer Services (Engine Cleaning)
Hey i bought a used 98 z28 m6 back in november, the car hasnt had a 30k or 60k induction service or timing any of that stuff (which makes me kinda angry that i find out now). Now it has about 68K on it, what services do you think I should have done? I just added a BG44K injector additive put in, and Im thinking of doing the full induction cleaning that will clean my valves and what not. I'm also considering having my T56 flushed out and regreased. Let me know if you think these are good ideas, as the only things that were done were the oil changes and new belts. I'm also thinking of lubing up the rearend as it *clunks* every now and then as i accelerate around a sharp corner. So all advice is welcome. THanks.
I agree with Al.
In addition, it would probably be a good idea to change the tranny fluid, rear-end fluid and the oil (motor) just in case. You could flush the radiator too, it wouldn't hurt but I wouldn't say it's necessary.

induction, clean throttle body, fuel injection serivce (pressurized cleaner that can be hooked up to fuel rail) and possibly some de-carbonizer for the valves.
fuel filter is a good idea
This at my dealer would cosy around 600 bucks, so i hope they have a deal or are not as expensive
