daytime running lights

daytime running lights

is there an easy or should i say any way to dissable the daytime running lights without doing something stupid like busting out the headlights or turning the car off as some smarta---s might say

sorry but i ment the automatic lights you know, when it gets the slightest bit dark out they come on

Disabling the auto headlights is a breeze.

On the dash, look at the center defroster vent. Pop it out and find the red LED security light. Next to that is the photo sensor.

Remove the sensor and place a piece of wire in the socket. Tape it up so it doesn't fall out.

Done!


You can put the sensor back in the socket so it doesn't get lost, and then tuck the wire back under the dash out of the way.

If you want to disable the DRL's, there's a mod for that too!

I believe there is a fuse you can pull out.....But why do you want to disable them, they look too cool

One of the pages on my site has detailed instructions on how to disable DRLs when you are ready to do that.
Clear corners look so much better when they aren't lit up all the time.

wow i didnt think it was that easy...im going to go do that now..i hate it at night when you might have to turn them off so not to be noticed...if you get what im saying

Easiest way is pull parking brake up 1 click wont hurt nothing and presto no more lights.Now you can use your light switch to control them

thats easy...but ill do the removing the sensor mod
