Unhappy Dammit...was looking at an LS1 how to site before and cannot locate it now.

I was reading an LS1 how to site a week or two ago, and there was instructions on how to remove the EGR system, among other things.

Anyone know what this site was?

Although a 2002 doesn't have an EGR system.

Whoops...that wasn't what I meant. What did I mean then? AIR pump? Maybe that was what I was looking at.

It is Monday, and I am still asleep.

I checked all the bigger How To sites, but I can't locate it any longer. I'll check again...

And I think it was removing the A.I.R. Pump that I was reading about.

Angry

Dammit all to hell...this is burning a hole in my head. I can see the pics in my head...looks like the diagrams were taken of the author's engine, and he used a simple paint program to make the circles and arrows pointing to the things that the instructions referenced. I remember it also mentioned how removing the AIR pump will kill the "whistle" under the hood.

CRAP!

Okay, let's list all the LS1 how to sites...

http://www.ls1howto.com
http://www.installuniversity.com
http://www.projecttransam.com
http://www.ls1info.com

I checked all 4 of those, and it is either not ther or I overlooked it.

Anyone have other site like that?

Yeah, I know nobody cares, but I found it!

Hahahahahah!

'Course, I don't really need it...but now I at least know where it is at and I will be able to sleep at night.

And to add to value to everyone else, there is some damn good info there.

Jason, a suggestion.

Any way you could congregate all those links into one post and make a new, stickied topic in this area? That would seriously help when people wanted to look up info and such.

And you wouldn't have to bang your head trying to remember the site that listed how to remove your non-existant EGR system

I no longer have the AIR pump but I am told I will need it again for emissions reasons

It varies from state to state. Michigan does not have emissions testing. Does PA? Or are they going to in the future?
