Cruise Control Problem 1999 Z28

Does anyone know if there is a known common problem with the cruise control on a 1999 Z28? Just asking as I just bought a 99 Z and a friend of mine just bought a 99 Z28 SS and neither one of our cars crusie control works.. The fuse for the system is good. Any idea's, Fred

Mine didnt work either, The dealer fixed it under warranty, they said there was a wire that the cover had got pinched off on and was grounding out. Check the wires in the steering column and on the turn signal lever.
