Cruise Control

I was just wondering if there is a centain speed at which the cruise on our cars does not work. I know most cars cruise doesnt work below 25mph. How high will they work?
I remember about 10-15 years ago reading in a car magazine "letters to the editor section" and a guy wrote in complaining the his windshield wipers were ineffective over 120(?)mph. He said that the cushion of air lifted them off of the windshield.

these are the weird things I think of when i cant sleep.

Cruise Control is Up there

I had a white Rice car of some sort coming up fast on me one day. I increased to about 85mph and it was still comming fast. I got up to 120mph and held it and the little rice car was still inching on me. I had had enough at that point and took it to 135mph and set the cruise in 6th gear (3150rpm, nice). I left it there about a minute and the ricer began to disapear . Wish I had not come up on a car and had more road. Later>>>>>>>

You can set the cruise at 35 mph or higher. You also can't use resume on the cruise until you hit 35 mph.

(...Opening 2002 owners manual.....Cruise Control - 2-54......)
"With cruise control you can maintain a speed of about 25 mph (40 km/h) or more without keeping your foot on the accelerator.
"This can really help on long trips. Cruise control does not work at speeds below about 25 mph (40 km/h)."
