Creak Creak Creak

OK I know creaks and noises are just part of having an F-body, but is there ANYthing I can do to help possibly reduce the noise? I am really gettin sick of everyone who rides in my car asking wtf that noise it and why don't I get it fixed! Someone told me to try and turn the rubber things half a turn under the hatch. Did it, didn't work. Other than turning up the radio real loud and get some loud *** exhaust is there anything else I can do that might quiet down the creaks. My car is a 99 and only has 22,000 miles on it.
Thanks.

Subframe connectors, they are suppossed to really tighten up the car. BMR, Global West, SLP, Kenne Belle, Spectacle Solutions, LGM, etc all manufacture them. I have heard good things about Global West.

Dynamat haha.. failing that.. just try to track down the loose panels and find a way to secure em.. subframes help but won't eliminate.

from what i have heard sub frame connectors are awesome. suppose to save your car bigtime in the long run. do it before the creeks get worse.

tracking down the creeks would be hard but definately worth a shot.

is your trunk sweaking?

btw nice web page z28 girl

Thanks for the input. What is dynamat? I am not too tech savy yet about cars, but I am learning SFC were on my list of things to get, so I will see if that helps. Probably gonna get that first before exhaust. Cheaper. Thanks!
The trunk major squeaks. I could probably perform a whole rap song or something just by going out and pushing down on the trunk over and over and over.
Thanks SwingDriverZ28. If it's the trunk would SFC help that?

Install Dynamat in the car. This will help reduce noise resonance alot and help to improve the acoustics of your stereo. Dynamat is a noise absorbtion material manufacturer www.dynamat.com

I have heard of drilling a new hole where the trunk latches and a new bar that fits in the new hole tight... hope you understand that?

also heard of rapping the bar that gets latched with electrical tape until it fits nice and snug...

if you dont understand let me know and i will try and describe it.

I would try the tape first .cheap. but if it works it works

Thanks again for the attempt to help. I will see what I can do with the dynamat link and the trunk latch, I am more visual so actually seeing something and getting hands on is my style of learning. The electrical tape I might try although my latch has been kinda fussy too when I push the button to open the trunk. Sometimes I have to push it multiple times before it lets go and I can lift it up.

Like they all said, track down the squeaks.

Get some WD-40 and make sure your door hinges are properly lubricated and make sure all the screws are tight and in place. My car doesn't sqeak at all, but I guess someday it will.

By the way, your car is exactly identical to mine.

Some black inserts in the rear look really cool at night.

Yeah someone else told me to lube it and since I don't know what I am really doing quite yet. The last time I had my oil changed I asked em if they do that and they said not on the newer cars, they don't need it?
Hey SFB727, have you done anything to your car? GOt any pics? I just put the tint back on. Got an FTRA and clear lid and plan on doing the exhaust asap maybe after the SFC.

Edit--seems like my car started making these noises since I got hit from behind and pushed into the guy in front of me.

The newer Camaros don't need to be lubed because they don't have any grease fittings (zerks), that's what the guy who changed your oil was telling you.

I haven't done anything to my car yet except for new tires and black inserts in the rear C A M A R O intentation, which I like because it matches my tint. I'll be putting a Magnaflow muffler on soon with some chrome dual-dual slash-cut tips.

The electrical tape will work on the latch. The reason you have to push the button a few times is because GM made it that way.God only knows why.

Are these creaks coming from under the car? Might need to have the rear sway bar bushings lubed. When my '02 began to squeek like a bed in a cheap motel, that was cause. Got them lubed and took care of the problem. Good luck!

They could be, cuz when I push down on the trunk over and over it sounds like the bed you describe. And when I brake you can hear it. It's definetly coming from the rear, but I am not so sure it's the trunk now.

Yeah I know you have to X2, but sometimes it will not quite unlatch all the way.

That's exactly what I want also. Sweet!
