Question Corvette things? (Fuel rail covers)

Ok you know when you look at a C5 engine and it has those things on either side that say "Corvette", I think they are called fuel rail covers but don't quote me on that. Where can I get some? I've seen them on Camaros before and it looks sharp, plus then people actually believe you when you say you have a C5 engine. Can I just walk into GM Parts and order a pair? how much usually?

..Too much money, besides you have to trim them up to fit. I've got ZO6 fuel rail covers and I already screwed them because I trimmed them wrong. You can get some to fit for your application but I forget where. Do an internet search on it, I'm sure you'll come up with something. Otherwise it's alot of work to trim up vette ones.

Not to be overly picky.. but you dont have a C5 engine.. you have a LS1 engine that is the same that they put in the C5 Vettes. But you should be able to find the covers through just about any web site that sells LS1 parts.

Uhh okay, what you said makes absolutely no sense what so ever. The C5 Corvette has the LS1 engine, the 4th generation 1998+ f-body has the LS1 engine. The C5 engine, is an LS1 and the 1998+ f-body engine is an LS1.

You just prooved yourself wrong.

Well.. I merely made a comment and now someone is going to attempt to flame me on it. Well.. try reading what the quote said. "have a C5 engine". It is not a C5 engine.. it is a LS1.. and I said it was in the C5 and the Camaro..

he was being overly technical. appears you ment to say c5's engine. instead it sorta kinda if you want to annoy the original poster sounds as if your calling it a "c5 engine".

never considered it before but that might be an interesting addition to make to a car. let us know what you find .

Actually they are different, they are both LS1 engines but with different cams. I never tell anyone my car has a corvette engine, it has a camaro engine.

Wow, this sure exploded in a hurry. Yes, I meant I have the same engine as a C5, I didnt mean there was anything called the C5 engine. And yes I know about the cams, and I mention it whenever someone inquires. I've seen fuel rail covers made for camaros, but they're just blank ones, I think it's neat to have the same ones the vette does, as a visual way of saying "this engine is pretty much the same one in a Corvette."

No big deal. But after I have seen the price of some of these things, I may not do it. I can't believe what they want for a stupid peice of metal!

Hi Scott,

Those are only decals for the FRC's. I wish someone made FRC's for only $30.
