coolant issue

Well my water pump is being ghey so in the mean time until I can get a new one in, I needed to fill up the thing with coolant since it was almost getting dry. I looked for dex-cool in the store and I found a "dex-cool approved" coolant apparently approved by gm. I was told to use 100% dex-cool I though but the bottle says 50-70%. What should I do? And one other thing, after I put it in there will the car still run hot or will it cool down until the water pump has leaked it all out again?

I took my car to an extremely reputable radiator shop for a powerflush, and they said the Prestone "Dex-Cool approved" formula is just fine. I have that in my car right now with no dilution, just straight from the bottle.
