Comp Cams RRs

anyone running the new C.C. roller rockers??? im thinking about them and i like the fact that 1) they fit under the stock valve covers and 2) they seem to be expected to make very good power for the money

anyone have them or know if they are a good idea????

Well I don't have them but as soon as I can spend the money on them I will.. To answer your question, I think they would be a good idea for a couple of reasons, 1. Less Friction, since the stock rockers are non roller, that is causing some HP loss, with Roller Rockers, they will cause less friction which equals more HP.. 2. A little higher lift. Going from 1.7(Stock) to 1.8 (RR) Ratio will increase HP by adding a little more lift.. Considering a tenth of a lift is not going to give you much more HP gains but where the most of the power will come from is the fact that going from Stock non roller rockers to roller will decrease friction and increase power.. From what I have read about this upgrade for LS1, 4800, 5300 and 6000 Gen 3 Small Blocks is around a 20 - 35 HP Increase, which is not bad but whenever I do this, I will add a different cam as well...
