Comp Cam
Comp Cam
Ok so I am looking at a Comp Cams 25-torquer v3 231/234 .643"/.598" 111 LSA and I have not been looking at these at all but I found a good deal on one so I was wondering if you think I would like it. I want a pretty mean cam and I was really thinking about the Futral F14, so does anyone think this is close to it and if I would like it or do you think I should just keep looking tell I find one of those or something more like it.
You aren't going to get the full story about a cam based on the duration/lift alone. The valve events might be completely different on cam X and cam Y with the same duration/lift.
That cam is more like an F-14 highlift than a regular F-14. Don't plan on using milled aftermarket heads on stock pistons if you use that cam. You'll still have to check PtV clearance on unmilled heads if you ever do a head swap.

will you like it?
NOPE...not at all. especially since i know exactly what kind of driving you plan to do, and how much, and the other upgrades you have to your car.
that's a pretty lame question don't you think?
figure 400rwhp give or take. choppy idle. the need for very good springs. and like mike said...difficulty upgrading heads.
