Clutch Pedal Noise

Good Morning,

I was driving my Camaro yesterday when I went to press in the clutch and heard a loud sound like a spring coming un-attached. ( boy-ng sound )
I stopped and looked under the dash with a flashlight. The clutch has
a lever pushing in a hydro. piston into the firewall. Cound not see anything unusual.

The car seems to run fine. I stressed the car running up to 100+, went
thru the gears hard...

Is this the clutch self adjusting or something?
Car is all stock.

Thanks,
Jim

There is a clutch pedal return spring under the dash which is probably what broke. The car will work without it but it should be replaced.

Thanks Al SS590 M6

I will check it out or have the dealer look at it.
