Clean Carbon Off Top Of These Pistons???

I have some time before my cam arrives. Should I clean the top of these pistons? If so, what should I use? Thanks

I'd just scrape of any loose thick stuff and vacuum out the flakes. They look pretty good. Nice and even.

How about some carb cleaner and a scotch brite pad? I used scotch brite on the engine to clean the old gasket material off. Worked pretty good.

I say a scotch brite pad and some WD40- they'll come out looking like new.
