Is a Chip Worth it?

I was thinking of getting a chip for my car, if anyone makes one, or one of those power programmers. Can anyone tell me what can be done with these programmers, and how much power you can safely add. Thanks.

wait till you add a few more mods.like headers or a cam then get ls1 edit tuning.dont bother with any type of chip or mail order tuning imo.
