Crane Cams continuously improves and upgrades its cam designs. In some cases this may mean that two Crane Cams with the same part number may actually be different grinds. You must check the GRIND NUMBER stamped on the front of the camshaft and check it against the Grind Number near the top of the Spec Card. Looks like a very mild cam with very lazy ramp rates.

It's not going to be a screamer by any stretch of the imagination, but you'll feel the extra power without a doubt.

Thats because when crane started selling LS1 cams they were already 5 years behind in lobe and grind technology for the engine.

Ya, 1.8 rockers will help some if your springs will take the added lift, but for the $400+ you'll spend on them you might as well get a cam that has more lift and duration ground in it.

For a reference search on the MTI C1 "Hammer Cam." Pretty much the same grind, just the C1 was a Comp grind back in the early days.

LS6 springs won't even handle the lift that the cam comes with on 1.7:1 rockers.

I definitely wouldn't use those if you plan on upping the lift via rockers.

On a side note, I have a cam, springs, retainers for sale in the for sale section that will blow that cam away for $300.
