CHECK GAGES issue with temp gauge
CHECK GAGES issue with temp gauge
In the last couple of days, I have noticed that my temp gauge will start to rise towards 235 and it will trigger the CHECK GAGES lamp. The temp gauge immediatly settles back in at 210 and the CHECK GAGES light will flicker and then go away. It does this about 3 or 4 times on the way home. Have not noticed it in the morning
It has been kinda warm in Dallas the last few days (high 80's) but I was wondering if anybody has faced this problem and what they did to fix it.
I also noticed that my voltage gauge has been dipping down to around 13 or maybe a tad lower when the electric fan comes on. Is this a related issue?
Thanks,
Robert

You could have air bubbles in the cooling system..try beeding the system out real well...also sound's like your fan setting's are kinda high..try getting a 160 t-stat or 180 even and see about getting an hpp3 or something along those lines..could be a bad thermostat or a sticky one..OR the fan setting's are a little off.Good luck,
Carter
