i drive a 2000 z28 A4, im thinkin about getting a 6 speed transmission for the ride. i asked around and some said its impossible, and some said it possible but will be expensive. so wich is true? and if its possible, how much will it cost? labor and everything else.

 

If you're wanting a 6 spd. to go faster, just change out your car's gears.

If you go through with the auto-6 spd. swap, you'll have a perfectly good working A4 unit on hand, but there's no guarantee you'll be able to sell it right away, much less get the full price you're asking to offset the price you paid to have your trans. changed out.

The 6 spd. is fun to drive, though.

 

I looked into that too. I was quoted anywhere from 3k to 10k. I decided it wasnt worth it. Ill keep the Camaro as an A4 and use the money towards getting a 6spd on a 5th gen or GTO.
