Car will be back today!!!

Well, my car will be back today!! It went to Pompano Beach yesterday to the Diablo shop with an editor from GMHTP. They installed the Predator and tuned it. They dynoed it before and after, and they are going to do an article upcoming about the results! I am excited to get the car back today and see how well the car has responded to the tune. I will post more when I get the car back!

I am on the way...

...to pick it up right now. I talked to the guy, and the editor from GMHTP is still at Diablo working with them on the article. The guy who brought it back said that they got 18 RWHP out of the custom work with the use of the Predator. I am excited to drive it. They all drove the car and the report is that the car has a nice SOTP increase. I am not sure what the TQ increase was, as I dont have all of the results from them, as they are working on the article. The only negative feedback that I got from the guy who drove it down was that the exhaust was too loud for a long trip. Hmmm...exhaust too loud...isnt that an oxymoron??? I will post more when I get more information. I am off to pick it up!!

More info...

Well, now that I have a minute to sit down and write my initial impressions of the Predator tune, I will. The car pulls hard. It is very effortless in its acceleration. I would have to say that the whole program is very beneficial to the way the car runs. It makes you wonder about the amount of power that is held back on these cars. I dont have any solid dyno numbers yet, but I got a PM from James and he said that the car put down some strong numbers and that the Diablo guys were very happy with the results. He told me that the car jumped 10 RWHP just with the base tune, and maxed out somewhere around 20 RWHP +/-. I am very happy about the elimination of the CAGS. It is nice to not have to hassel with that. I am also happy that when I change my gears, I am setup to make the adjustment. Most of all I am happy with 20 RWHP. My wife asked me if I really needed more HP?!?!?! WHAT IS SHE THINKING???? OF COURSE I DO!!! I will post more information as I get it.

Nick, where'd you dyno at in Pompano? The only place I know of in Pompano is Steeda. Diablo is in Boca and they just opened up another place (with a dyno, I think) in Delray and when they (Diablo) had my car last year, they were using Reith Motorsports dyno, in Boynton.

Just wondering...if Diablo has another place down here in Pompano (where I work), I'm gonna have to call Johan up and see if he'll let me make a few pulls after work sometime.

Well, I couldnt acutually answer that question. I didnt accompany my car down there. I am just going by where they said they were going. The guy who took my car said that he was going to Pompano. I dont know if they used their facility, or someone elses. I know it sounds funny, but my information is limited to what I have told you at this point, due to the fact that they are putting together all of the info for the article.

I gotcha.

Kewl, glad to hear you're happy with your results.

wilbs, the Predator is DiabloSport's tuning tool (like a Hypertech power programmer). Here's the website: www.runninwiththedevil.com
