Car starting problems and need help bad

Hello! I haven't posted here in ages. Just to get you guys up to speed I bought a 98 Z28 M6 about a week ago. I drove it home from long beach california to Tucson Arizona and it ran great. I've drove it all around for the past week and everything worked as it should. Today after doing some errands in it, I go to start the car and I get a click and nothing. The gauges are going all over the place really sporadic.

The dinging you get when you put the car to on, is dinging then cutting off mid ding and trying to ding again and failing. All the dummy lights are flashing off and on when I turn the key to the On position. I think it may be a security problem (VATS) but am not sure. First time I tried to start the car and it failed, I went to open the door, and the alarm went off.

I tried jumping the car thinking that this could be a low battery problem but that didn't work. If any of you could help me I'd be in debt to you. Maybe somebody else here has had some of the same problems?

Re: Car starting problems and need help bad

So I decided to try something simple and clean the battery terminals.......then the car started right up lol. Hopefully that's all this was and won't cause anymore problems.
