Can you make your own Emmisions block off plates?

Can you make your own Emmisions block off plates?

Just got the Pacesetters hooked up and wondered if you can make your own block off plates from crap at Home Depot? Thanks

Yes. I just bought them from someone, and they were light aluminum. Just use 1/8" or thicker metal to prevent warpage, and gaskets.

The EGR block off plug they sold is a core plug. I used a rubber block plug. The put in and screw tight type...

yeah, like mentioned above. if you are going to home depot, buy some 1/8" by 1-1/4, or 1-1/2 flat stock and go to town

Its definitely possible, but for some, it is just easier to spend twenty bucks for some that are already made.

I thought they would be nicer/stainless/whatever. It was not 100% laziness.

Just got done, it was just a pain in the neck and they look preety crusty, haha, next time ill just not eat at Hooters one night and order some.

I used a Dremmel and they turned out nice. The removed EGR makes for a great pattern.

Thats what my Dad did to make one for my "Elty Juan". He's pretty good with making things & is really mechanically inclined, myself on the other hand...
