Can u modify stock airlid?

Question Can u modify stock airlid?

whats up...hard up in the monetary situation right now, but i don't wanna quit modding, was wondering if there was a way u could modify the stock airlid so that it would flow better..i plan on gettin a lid soon, just gotta get some cash though...just need somthing to do in my spare time...any feedback would be helpful..thanks

Some people sand the fins out of the bottom of the stock lid. I don't know if it really helps though.

ahh yes...a "classic" mod. People would lop off the resonator "ears" on the stock lid and sand down the ridges on the inside of the lid. This was done in the early ages of the LS1 f-body. It's time consuming and ugly as hell.

Don't screw with that. You could earn $75 in the amount of time it takes to screw with that. If you can't afford a blemished SLP lid, you don't have any business modding.

appreciate the feedback...if i did do it, it would be temporary..been in the Hosp and not wrkin for another 2 weeks, spent all the money i had on my susp before the Hosp, and had planned on having most the bolt on **** done with.....thanks again guys

I cut them out of mine it took about 30min. with a drimel tool the car felt a little more responsive, I now have the K&N FIPK. And I love it.
