I have a A4 99 SS camaro, right at 60,000 miles, my motor burns just a little oil. Here are my mods Hypertech power programmer III, 160 thermostat, ported TB, Grantatelli MAF sensor, LID, free ram air mod, TB bypass, Borla Exhaust, custom Y-pipe with 02 sims, no cats, small shift kit, 2800 Vigalante Stall, hurst line lock, Strut tower brace, control arms. 3:42 gears with eaton posi and T/A rearend girdle, ok I think thats about it.
So heres my question I have had the PN 5177 NOS dry kit for about a year I don;t know if my car can handle it, I am just afraid of BREAKING OR BLOWING something up. Honestly give me your opinion on what will happen if I spray it. Can my car handle the NOS.

BTW I have no idea about how much Flywheel HP this is about without the nos or even with it.
I have ran a 8.1 in the 1/8 with slight wheelspin.
Do you guys have any idea about what type of numbers this car throws down.

I am no NAWSSSSSSSS expert by any mean, but talking to a few NAWSSSSSSSS people, they have told me that the LS1 enjoys a nice 100-125 shot. This would be a safe limit to use.

As for dyno #s, just skimming through your mod list, I would say you have about a little over 310rwhp off the bottle, those #'s shouldn't bother you though because the Vig 2800 cuts off .5 yet you loose RWHP. You've got a killer car, don't worry about dyno #s

If anythings gonna break, it'll be the rear if your on a sticky tire, or the driveshaft, and maybe the tranny, heard the a4's aren't too strong.

Anything else, looks like the are the most important parts to break. Part that $ucks is that he is probbaly right, the A4 tranny is a little weak, but the A4 rear is stronger than the M6 rear. Driveshafts aren't too bad eitherm they are not too expensive to replace.

If everything is good condition, a d you don't lean out..and if you've been doing it for a year.. your probably safe..

Just like anything, your putting more stress and wear on components, and increasing their chances of breaking earlier.

They're is no difference in the rear on the a4 and m6, it's just the a4 is a little easier on the rear, that's why they can handle a little more. But yeah, if you wanna run the nitrous and have no problems, I would buy a 12-bolt, a nitrous ready driveshaft, and beef up the tranny a lil. Then you can run it all day long and not have a problem, although the tranny may still go, not sure how sturdy they are.

Robvas gave you words of wisdom there.

Do not run platinum plugs while spraying n20.
Incorperate a good tune up while changing the plugs by jumping on a new fuel filter, air filter, tranny fluid change, and even go as far as a coolant flush.

I spray 150 rwhp shot through mine and have had no problems with the factory a4 tranny or rear.I also have never put slicks on my car or changed ratios in the gearing either. As long as you take the neccesary precautions you SHOULDNT have any problems.
I say shouldnt because there is never any gaurantees.

Like me, your '99 has the suckiest injectors of the ls1 lineup. Nothing to worry about though.

Safely, 100 dry shot would be fine, 125 dry would be pushing it a little, anything more and you'll want to go wet. Switch the plugs, and buy a window switch, and go have fun.

I think they're around 26.xx lb/hr, compared to other years of 28lb/hr. Nothing major.

Well, with a 125 shot nothing on my car has went out yet and thats going though roughly 20 15lb bottles...
However, with your stall, i dont know how long that poor tranny will old up with a 125 shot.. I was was going to wait until i got a bullet proof transmission until i installe a stall...
