Can the GM dealer do this to the computer?
Can they reflash my 1998 A4 Z28, and change it to a 2001 or 2002 6 speed?

I think that you'd have to change to a 01-02 PCM. There are just too many differences between the two.

Did you change cam? Intake? remove EGR?

the engines are not identical. The programs arent indentical either since there are differences.
