I notice on Thunderracing you can get the
camshaft package with single valve springs and your choice of retainers
or
camshaft package with dual valve springs but no choice of retainers

Do dual springs not use retainers? If this is the case would it be better to get the dual springs package for $799 or the single springs package with titanium retainers for $729? 224/224 114lsa cam. Also the dual springs kit allows you to upgrade to comp cams spring kit from crane cams kit for an additional $175. What would the benefit be in doing that? Thanks for your time.

 

i think dual springs on a TR224 is a bit overkill

the singles should be fine.
