Question Cam or exhaust question???

Hi guys. I have a quick question....I was wondering if I should go and just buy a cam instead of buying a set of longtubes, and doing a dual setup. I already have a Borla kit on the car, w/ no plate in it, and the cats are hollowed out. I was wondering if Id see any "signifigant" power gains w/ the headers, and if it would be worth the install price. Or, should I buy my cam, and just keep the exhaust setup I have now, or maybe even add a cutout. It flows straight through on the right side, so would it even make a difference w/ a cutout? Also, would the stocks manifolds be able to show me good gains from a cam? Just wondering what is the best thing to do for power right now....Any help would be greatly appreciated guys. Thanks a lot!

what cam are you getting? because if you're getting a cam that is aggressive at all, you're gonna have to buy more than just a cam. and other than that, running stock heads, and stock exhaust manifolds is going to restrict the power potential of the cam a lot.

it might be better just to do longtubes now....do you not want longtubes and keep the borla catback? cuz keeping the borla and not doing true duals will save you some money to put towards doing the cam.

LT headers will help you see more gains with a cam...I'm with lucas, get some LTs and then get a nice cam. It will be worth it in the future.

If you are going to throw in a small cam like the zo6 or a tr220/220 then the you will not need headers. If you want to get into the 375rwhp range than headers will be needed. you can pick up some pacesetters lt's and a y pipe for around 450 i think. then all the gaskets,o2 sensors, and other b.s. will put back another 75. The record for ls1 stock heads and a cam just reached 450rwhp. Which is fu*kin crazy. good luck
