i was told that all ss's came with a CAI. i thought that included the short extension that went down in front of the raditor, along with the raised airbox to get flow from the scoop. i've seen pics of the slp cai. well, i went to put on my lid and noticed i dont have that piece. it looks like a z's setup. im second owner but i dont think they would have taken it out. so was the cai really in every slp car, or was it an option?

 

I don't think it was on all the SS's. They all had the Ram Ari hoods. A friend of mine has an '01 SS and his didn't have it. He bough his car new. He did the FRA mod though.

 

I don't think any of them come with the CAI.
I think you could get an SLP lid as an option in 01-02.

 

The CAI is a mod. No car came with the CAI.
