Question Broken Rear?

I was at the track Friday night, and it was my first time on a DR. I was on a set of BFG's, and I was gettin them nice and hot. The first time I launched it at like 2000 rpm, and the car dead hooked and bogged. So next time, I tried higher, about 3400 or 3500 rpm, and again it dead hooked and bogged. So last run, went even higher, about 3600 or 3700 rpm, and it still dead hooked and bogged, but this time coming off the line, it the rear made some kind of like clunk or bang noise, and during the run, at high rpm's, like 5000 and over, it made the same clunking or banging noise and started to accelerate slower. This run my et came in a little lower and my mph was like 4 mph lower. The entire drive home, the car drove fine and I had no problems, but I didn't put the car over 4000 rpm. Did I break my rear? If I did, what could it be? Does it sound like something major or minor, cause I really don't have the money for a 12-bolt right now, although I really wish I did! Also, when I had my clutch put in a few days before, my guy told me that the rear pinion seal was leaking and needed to be replaced, and I haven't changed the fluid in the car and it's got 34,000 miles on it. Is it possible that the fact that it's got the original non-synthetic fluid still in it and the pinion seal leaking, be the cause of what happened? Cause that wouldn't be too bad, cause i'm changing the rear fluid to synthetic and gonna have the seal replaced when I get back from NY in like a week or two. Thanks guys, sorry it's so long!

Yeah, I was there friday, I have a white Z28 with blackouts on the rear. I was over in dial-ins. That wasn't me pullin 14's and 15's, that guy must not know how to drive. I went 13.4's on my first two runs (was still getting used to heating up and launching the DR's), and then my best run was my third with a 13.134 @ 107.23 and then my last I went 13.224 @ 104.85, which is the one I think I broke my rear on, cause it was making the noises that I described. Which car were you? Curious if I saw you out there. Yeah, there was plenty of camaros and f-bods, I was in heaven too!! F-Body

check your torque arm and everything else underneith and see if everything is still attached like its supposed to be and not bent.

if you are driving the car and its not making any noises.. its fine..

if your rear was broke, you wouldnt be driving it. it would be broke
