break in?

break in?

im installed the TR 224/224 .563/.563 -112 cam and new valvetrain, etc.... do i need to break it in? dont the springs need to get broken in? ill ask the shop that doing it, but just wondering...

you SHOULDNT have to break it in as the parts that were changed dont need to be broken in like a a new bottom end would need to be.

Yes, you need to break them in. You have to put the springs through a heat cycle, or else you risk breaking them. I think it is recommended to drive around under 4000rpm, let the car sit overnight, them they are good to go.

Exactly....I would say even 3K RPM. Definately let them get fully warmed up, then cooled overnight. Then you can "Give her hell".
