biggest ls1

whats the biggest ls1 (cubic inches )built or can be built.building a new street rod have a idea going.

If you get one built with a resleeved block, or better yet, a C5R block, you can get about 42x ci. I've heard of people going slightly higher.

In "Chevy High Performance" magazine (Oct. '03) they built a 452 cubic inch LS1!!!
I guess they were aiming to build a full "454", but made a "conservative decision" to limit the bore by a few thousandths of an inch (for engine safety's sake!). I think it made something like ~575 HP?? (which is actually lower than the 600 HP ZL-1 Camaros with the 427?!..........but it's probably minor cam or head differences that helped out the ZL-1).

yep, i have that issue.
i could only dream about that though. like $50k or something to get it all done with the c5r block. i think anyways

i cant find that mag in my collection who built it.money not really a problem.
