Bigger TB?

I am about to order a set of headers for my car. I was also thinking about getting a bigger TB. My question is would I benefit from the TB by itself, or must i do other mods with it? Thanks for any input.

Re: Bigger TB?

Nothing to be gained with a larger TB ... the intake is still the same size.

Either buy a ported stock one or port your own.

Re: Bigger TB?

waste of $300

untill you are making SERIOUS hp...and even then...the tb is sufficient

you'd be MUCH better off spending the money on an LS6 intake...dyno proven 7-8hp on bolt on cars

Re: Bigger TB?

So then would you want to get a LS6 intake and LS6 T/B? Am I reading that right?

Re: Bigger TB?

are the ls6 tbs and different?

i thought they just had different throttle cable locations and things like that...nothing different internal.

the LS6 intake is a definate mod...dyno proven time and again 7-8 hp on bolt on engines alone

Re: Bigger TB?

The LS1-LS6 cabel driven TB's are the same. The intakes are diffrent and are a decent mod. The stock size TB is good up to like 500hp, so yeah I think your ok with the stocker...lol
