Bigger Injector's?

What is the bennifit of a higher # injector and how high should you go with a cam/head swap? Can you go too heavy and wont it take more amperage to open and make it open slower and close faster? Should I leave the stock one's alone. Also should I add a booster fuel pump? I am trying to do everything at once and don't know what else to get. I am doing an F-14 cam Patriot stage 2 heads w/2.055 intake 59 cc chamber, March pully, MSD coil's, SSRA, Edelbrock 80 mm throttle body. What else should I **** some more money away on. Also doing a GMMG exhaust.

yes you can go too big as for example;

stockers may do you ok for now. you would have to check the duty cycle after the mods are installed to know for sure. i dont know the f-14 cam specs but if its close to my cam in sig, im running stock injectors now and have some space to play with fo rmy ls6 intake and ported tb when i get them put on. i do have 42#'ers but save them for my stroker kit. (coming soon)

stock fuel pump will be fine also for now, but it isnt going to hurt putting in something better, its just not necessary right now. as far as pissing money on other items, consider suspension parts like lca's or sfc's or both.

If that's all you plan on doing, some 30lb SVO's should do you fine. They do at least on my SOM SS (nice car BTW). They're flow is rated at 40psi, but LS1's run at 58psi. So, they'll actually perform like 36.125lb injectors. If you go too big, you can run into issues with having too much fuel on decel sometimes.

F-14 is 598/598 232/234 112lsa I have all the suspension stuff just not in the sig. Should I get some 42#ers off E-BAY for $300 or not worry about it?

42's will do you fine for a long time unless you are building up a rocket car
thats a good price. go for it. shop around for tuning too once you are ready.

Too big. Stay with 30-36s. I have 36#ers in mine.

I agree. 30-36# FMS injectors will work perfectly. I had 30# in my heads/cam setup that made 471rwhp.

Edelbrock throttle body was $189 and the coil's are for future addition of a timing controller if I want to spray. If I don't run in the 11's spray is on the way....And I just ordered 30# SVO injector'sfrom the WS6store which will be fine for what I plan on. Thank's for all the input.
