Bigger Heads for a 2000 Z28

I just got this Z28 with 52K miles and it is 100% stock. I'm new to the LS1/F-Body world and I plan to make at least 500rwhp N/A. What would be the best heads for a 500hp build? I know I need most of the bolt-on stuff like headers and CAI but my main concern is getting the right heads. The Z28 is an auto.

Thanks for the help

I think the best ones out there are the 11 degree aftermarket cathedral port heads - they used to be ET performance but you can get them at Mast Motorsports and some other places. There are also good heads from AFR and trick flow, and tons of good ported stock casting.

500 to the wheels is going to be really tough on a stock LS1 shortblock. It is much easier to get 500 with a 4" bore motor - the heads are much better. You can make 500 with a decent cam and ported stockers with the big bore.
